It probably is possible, but no one has written one. I had this discussion
with the developers and their thought was it could be done via USB where it
would be possible to send to the MFP and have it do the faxing and it would
be possible for the MFP to initiate a receive, similar to the way printers
initiate low ink warnings, etc. Again, the PRINTER MANUFACTURER is the
responsible party and they've not developed anything; at least, they've not
come up with any two-way methodology. We own a big Lanier MFP which comes
with a send driver. Folks can "print" to it's Fax unit and send a Fax.
Received Faxes still simply print on the unit and the receiver must go to
the machine an pick up the printed page(s). So, in short, its definitely
possible, but no manufacturers have "picked up the ball".
